There is a new kid on the block and I love him to bits!

    I've waited so long for this .

    Uncle-ness.

    It is about
    getting a spark in your eyes
    on hearing you are an uncle.

    It is about feeling indulgent
    towards your best friend
    gifting you an amazing nephew.

    It is about being responsibly controlled
    in exhibiting your glee
    when you first set your eyes on him.

    It is about
    hovering around him,
    as he gets used to you
    and your wagging tail,
    unable to control your happiness.

    It is perhaps about
    standing guard around him,
    when he goes for a ride in his pram
    in the garden
    with his Mom.

    But mostly it is about
    trying to hide the thought,
    that he may soon go back
    to his home
    with his Mom.

    If you think I look pensive
    sometimes,
    thats why.
